The Geography (Mandatory) course requires students to complete
* 100 hours of Global Geography in Stage 4 ( Years 7 & 8)
* 100 hours of Australian Geography in Stage 5 ( Years 9 & 10)
Stages 4 and 5 Geography are taught in accordance with the
Students will develop geographic knowledge, understanding, skills, values and attitudes. Students will also participate and experience practical lessons in their fieldwork within the topic of Global and Australian Geography.

The National Geographic Channel Competition is coming!
All Years 7 - 10 Geography students are encouraged to enter
When: March 26th - April 4th 2012
Cost per student: $3
Deadline for entry: February 29th 2012 ( Teachers need to know by end of Week 5 with your $3)
How the competition works: You will sit for a 35 minute period and answer a series of multiple choice questions using a stimulus card. It then gets taken away to be marked and you will receive your results with a certificate of participation.
What's in it for me? A certificate is given to all participants, your school can earn great prizes, you could be selected for the Australian Statewide and National Team of 2012.
