Welcome to the HSIE (Social Sciences) Webpage

The Social Sciences department provides a wide range of exciting and dynamic subject areas, which can be tailored to individual student needs and differentiated learning styles. The subjects available are organised into three stages Stage 4 ( Years 7 and 8 Geography), Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10 Geography and Years 9 and 10 Commerce), Stage 6 ( Years 11 and 12 Legal Studies, Years 11 and 12 Business Studies, Years 11 and 12 Economics). Classes cater for students who are Gifted and Talented, ESL, NESB and Students with Special Needs. The Social Sciences department also offers HOTS as an extra curricula program, designed to enrich the students who are committed to extending their knowledge base.
