Chinese

There are four classes studying Chinese in 2011, including two junior and two senior classes. The Preliminary and HSC classes visited the Nantian Temple in Wollongong, one of the largest Buddhist Temples in Australia, where the students viewed a Chinese calligraphy panting exhibition, performed Tai Chi and meditation, and also enjoyed a magnificent traditional Chinese garden. The junior students participated in a Chinese calligraphy activity, studied Chinese culture and played Chinese games in class.

In recent years Year 12 Chinese students at Concord High School have performed extremely well in the HSC. Six students obtained Band 6 results, nine students obtained Band 5 results and three students achieved Band 4 results. One student was ranked 2nd in the State and one student was ranked 8th in the State. The performance of students studying Chinese was above State average.
