Year 9/10 Elective HistoryYear 9/10 Elective HistoryAt Concord High School, students in Years 9 and 10 are able to experience history as an elective subject to expand their knowledge of history and acquire the historical skills, knowledge and understanding, and values and attitudes essential to an appreciation of the past and to prepare students for informed and active citizenship in a changing world.
Students get to experience the techniques involved in Geisha make-up during their study of Ancient Japan.
The elective course gives students the opporutnity to learn about - Early Societies - Ancient Societies ( Ancient China and Ancient Japan) - Medieval and Early Modern Societies - Asian, American and African Societies - The Modern World (Terrorism and Prejudice and Persecution)
Students are taught in accordance with the NSW Board of Studies syllabus
