History
Welcome to the History Department at Concord High School
History provides opportunities for students to explore human actions and achievements in a range of historical contents.
Students become aware that history is all around us and that historical information may be drawn from the physical remains of the past as well as written, visual and oral sources of evidence.
Here at Concord High School we offer historical studies from Years 7 through to Year 10 as part of the mandatory course and as an elective subject in Years 9 and 10. Students learn about Australian history as well as European, Asian and American History to help them understand how history is intertwined and relevant to the present day.
Students then have the opportunity to further their interest in senior years through Years 11 and 12 Ancient History and Years 11 and 12 Modern History. Studies of Religion is also offered in this department
