CAPA subjects benefit students by:

·       Encouraging self expression, self confidence and self esteem

·       Making them productive, creative and confident in the use of traditional   and contemporary  technologies

·       Developing and refining Artmaking and Performing skills as a continual practice requiring self reflection

·       Allowing them to understand and apply a variety of analytical and creative techniques to solve problems

·       Creating visually literate students who extend their oral and aural capabilities

Exhibitions:
There are several occasions during the year where CAPA students showcase their skills.

·         Junior MADD night  - Tuesday 28th June 2011- 6-8pm

·         Senior MADD night -  end of Term 3 (TBA)

·         Senior Soiree (Music and Drama) -  early Term 3 (TBA)

·         Annual HSC Art/Photography Exhibition - end of of Term 3 (TBA)

All of these events are heavily supported by students and the local community. The exhibitions and performances are used to allow students to view their own work and the work of others in an exhibition setting and to give parents and the community some insight into the gifts and talents of our students in the creative arts fields.
